Philosophy and Fiction

Oh Womeniyaan!!

I am an ordinary 24 year lass, self employed, living in a big city with all the big dreams within my small little brain, with 2 other girls.
This is the first time i have moved out of my home.

From my very childhood i have observed my mom working day and night, managing every small little stuff at home and outside, so gracefully without complaining , giving equal time to both family and work. I lived there like my parents ‘Princess‘ where i had to do nothing and just enjoy every bit of my life. Every thing was taken care off; on its own, from time to time.

But now when i am out, standing on my own feet, managing every damn thing from :
Laundries to Groceries, Studies to maintaining Health, Households to Office Work,
Sometimes i wonder – Am I really capable enough to do all these things?

And then some more questions arises :
Am I the only one feeling all such way?
Am I managing the things right way?
Am I dealing with all the emotional and mental phases the right way?
Will I be able to continue the same in future?
Will I break down some day?

Then i observe that, these feelings are just not mine but of many others. On a day to day basis we observe more lasses , women around and also comes the flashback; where-in as a child we have grown up watching and listening to the stories of our own mother, sister, grandmother s, aunts and many women working hard even after so much of sufferings at both home and work place. We have learnt so many aspects of living our life from many different women like :
Kiran Bedi
Kalpana Chawla
Saina Nehwal
Lata Mangeshkar and many who have excelled in their own fields motivating and inspiring us.

Out there in the world, there are plenty of women who are not so famous in the outside world , are not known even within , are not appreciated, but are home makers and have gone through lot of pain and sufferings. Despite of which have managed to successfully and happily prove themselves without complaining and again motivating and inspiring others.

This women’s day: I personally respect, thank all the women famous or not, working small or big , bow in front of them for their passion, dedication, determination, patience and hard-work and salute them.

“Hats-off: SALUTE” !!!

Ps:Share more of your thoughts and stories – y ? “Who knows your life story can motivate many others”
